Port TackRacks are designed to carry spare fuel at their heart. The ability to bring a long either a little or a lot of extra gas on a snowmobile is one of the key differentiators of the Port Tack Rack over all of our competitors. The standard rack can fit up to 2 off 5 gallon jerry cans. The compact rack can fit either 2 off 2.5 gallon jerry cans or 1 off 5 gallon jerry can with a little room left over.
The inside dimientions of the racks have been designed to fit these jerry cans perfectly to create a tight physical boundary for the fuel can. A simple and durable strap secures the gas can in the vertile direction meaning that with just a single motion the gas is 100% secured to the snowmobile.

The strap has some extra features that are perfect for snowmobiling. It is movable, and shortenable without any knots! That means that a single strap can be used for a large variety of objects. It also means that up on the hill, you can rearrange your gear and change what you want to do with the strap even if it’s freezing cold. The key is the two looped ends. They form a simple end point for the strap but because they are a closed system, it doesn’t take any knots to have all the flexibility a normal rope has.
