Now of course, life is never 100% perfect. We do require separate straps for switching between skis or a snowboard in the rack. However, both the ski holder and snowboard holders can be mounted at the same time so you’ll never be caught out and you’ll never have to play around with tools mid season. If you want to have both ski and snowboard set ups on the sled simple do up the opposite strap and ride away.
We’ve kept the concept super simple as in the mountain complexity is nobody’s friend. One snowboard can be strapped down on either side of the rack. That way if your goofy buddy doesn’t want to share or somebody wants a lift it’s easy to strap down a second board. Unfortunately, there is only room for one set of skis, but we figure if you’re the type of person who will bring ski boots up the mountain on a sled you’re fine with making some sacrifices.
The snowboards are secured using 2 straps for each snowboard. Pilots figure 2 engines are more than twice as good as one, well 2 straps securing your snowboard has go to be the ticket as well then. The straps are flexible even when cold, durable for a punishing ride, and protective, so your gear won’t get torn up. They are also versetile. If you decise to haul something besides skis or a snowboard they can be remounted to any spot on your snowmachine without any tools.
The skis are loaded on the snowmobile easily. There are a few ways to do it and the poles fit into the strapping system as well. The can be strapped to the snowmobile at varying levels so they can stick forward or backward as much or as little as you want.
